Nursery
Our nursery development has been divided into three stages with multiple screening of seed canes spread out over the period of three years.
Our aim comes in two folds :
- Identify the cane types most suited to the Bagamoyo area’s environmental conditions (weather, soil, or water supply), guaranteeing high-quality harvests are produced and collected.
- Ensure that an adequate supply of seed cane is always accessible.
To achieve these, we carry out extensive research on soil, seed cane varieties, water quality, and we continuously test the suitability and efficiency of the subsurface drip irrigation system.
Cutting Edge
Laboratory
Our cutting-edge laboratory has been built right in the center of our farm to ascertain constant quality control.
Our laboratory is separated into units that monitor and support high quality in all factors impacting the end product, including soil, seed cane varieties, water quality, and quality control mechanisms.
We have a team of qualified professionals working around the clock to perform soil tests such as Power of Hydrogen (pH), Soil Electrical Conductivity (EC), Salinity, Infiltrations Ability, Cation Exchange Capacity (CEC), and Sodium Absorption Ratio (SAR) to determine the soil’s health and fertility status.
Our shade net nursery will be utilized to develop and multiply new seed cane varieties for main crop cultivation.
