Sugar Factory
The construction of our state-of-the-art sugar factory started in 2018 and is scheduled to be completed in June 2022.
The Bagamoyo Sugar factory is situated in the heart of the plantation zones to facilitate smooth operations, efficiency, and ease of cane transportation to the factory after the harvest.
Production will begin in stages once our sugar factory is operational. Phase 1 will commence with a crushing capacity of 1,500 tonnes per day.

The factory is expandable from existing capacity of 70 tonnes per hour to 105 tonnes per hour. Thus at every stage, as the land under cultivation is increased, the production capacity will be expanded.
Bagamoyo Sugar is projected to generate 30,000 tonnes of sugar per annum in the initial phase of much-needed sugar over time, helping to alleviate Tanzania’s sugar shortage.
